Free organisations and their resources
Every new account that creates its own organisation starts on the free plan. It is there to try the platform for real — send, sign, keep — without paying anything. Its rules come from the same question as all the others: what was paid for? In this case, nothing. That explains the differences.
A quota that does not renew
Section titled “A quota that does not renew”The free plan gives a quota of signatures once. It is not topped up every month like a paid plan: you spend it, and when it is gone, it is gone. The amounts are at assinaja.pt/precos.
In exchange, it does not lapse. A free organisation has no period and no end date, so the plan’s quota stays until you spend it — “From the plan: {n} (does not expire)” — and the document archive never closes.
When the quota runs out
Section titled “When the quota runs out”You have two paths:
- Buy a pack. A pack lasts 12 months from purchase and adds to what you have, without changing plan. It is the path for someone who signs little and now and then.
- Move to a paid plan, with a quota that renews every period.
Moving to a paid plan
Section titled “Moving to a paid plan”The paid plan starts with its whole quota. What was left of the free quota does not carry over: a plan change carries over the leftover that was paid for, and the free plan’s was not. Any packs you bought come with you, with their dates.
If you still have free signatures left and are in no hurry, it is worth spending them before you switch.
One person only
Section titled “One person only”The free plan is for one person. To bring in colleagues you need a plan with more users — see Invite people to your organisation.
The confirmed mobile number
Section titled “The confirmed mobile number”A free organisation only sends documents once whoever created it has confirmed their mobile number by SMS, once. A new email costs nothing to create; a confirmed mobile number does. It is how the free plan stays available to people who use it in good faith, without being multiplied by someone who would create dozens of accounts to send for free.
Paid plans do not ask for this confirmation. Neither do invited signers. The steps are in Confirm your mobile number.
If you created a free organisation and it is really your company’s
Section titled “If you created a free organisation and it is really your company’s”A free organisation of your own can be swapped for your company’s: see Request to join your company’s organisation.
